The Meadows Meal Master Stone Burr Grist Mills had a cast iron mill housing, instead of wood like the early mills. Meadows Mills Inc. still manufactures these mills in four sizes of 16′, 20′, 24′ and 30′. The company also produces a very small Meadows 8′ stone burr mill which can be driven with a one HP motor.
Dec 10, 2006. #1. I have a 20" Meadows Mill, sold by IHC. Some of the wood has been replaced, so there's no to date it. IHC only sold them from '15 to '24, and I've seen 2 different IH stencils on the internet. Mine has the older, so I figure it's from the teens. Anyway, I would like to talk to someone who has restored one.

Simply put, if you want to have the option of a super fine flour, then a burr grinding mill is a good choice. An impact mill, although will get you fine flour, won't produce flour that is super fine. The only double mill I have found reference to is a Appleton #8 but this one looks a fair amount different from the photos of the Appleton that I have seen. The auction listed it as a Mc Cormick Deering Corn / Grain Feeder but its a burr mill with a shaker tray that feeds 2 burr grinders. I will attach a photo of it.

There was also a Type A and a type D and they came in 6, 8 and 10 inch size. The B is designed to grind ear corn but will also grind shell corn or small grain.

May 12, 2011 #1 I just got my IH Model D 10"Burr Mill home. I did some cleaning on it and got it parked in the shed in the PB Blaster stage. The 2 slides to stop the flow of grain are tight. But I noticed that it is missing the support brace on each side that goes from the middle leg to the leg on the outside of the belt pulley.
Hello stakers new toy is a mill made by medows this mill is marked a eureka stone burr mill it has a tag sears and roebuck.
